Free weights offer the benefit of incorporating stability and control from the simplest movements to the most complex of exercises. Incorporating free weights into your exercise program increases your strength and development of coordination of smaller stabilizing muscles, so that in time a larger amount of force and greater ease of movement can be provided.
Benefits of free weights include muscular endurance, joint control and stability, rehabilitation muscle definition and fat loss.
At the Noarlunga Leisure Centre we are mindful of creating a comfortable atmosphere for all our members and as such limit our weights for those wishing to improve general fitness and tone up eliminating intimidating Body Builders and associated atmosphere. We also have an outside area whereby free weights can be taken outside for you to maximize your workout experience. So come on in and tone up in an all ages / gender friendly environment.
